A hearty breakfast is served on china in the dining room or on the breakfast porch.  The dining room fireplace mantel came from the homestead of Moses Cleveland, founder of Cleveland, Ohio.

A warm fire and a good book or movie await guests in the library or living  room. Abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison married resident Helen Benson on September 4, 1834 in the living room.  Samuel May, local minister and uncle to Louisa May Alcott, officiated at the wedding.  Prudence Crandall, Connecticut’s state heroine who gave Friendship Valley its name in the 1830’s attended the wedding.
